QR Codes Increase Market Share In Top Magazine Ads
Published today Nellymoser’s Q2 2012 report on mobile action codes (QR Codes, Microsoft Tags, Digital Watermarks etc.) in the Top 100 U.S. magazines makes interesting reading. 10.1% of magazine advertisements now include a mobile action code, which is more than double the number a year ago. QR Codes are still the most popular at 85% with Microsoft Tags at 14% and all the others combined at 1% (image below). Charts of code usage (the most popular is video at 40%) and the top 10 industries and brands (beauty and Sally Hanson at the top) are also reproduced below.
